Protest For Pensioners To Go On, But NLC Deserts Plan Following Meeting With FG. Wednesday’s scheduled solidarity protest by the Labour and Civil Society Coalition (LASCO) in support of pensioners who are owed about one N1 trillion in outstanding arrears will go ahead.But the Nigeria Labour Movement will not be in it, following an announcement by the NLC president, Abdulwaheed Omar, that the Central Working Committee had met with Federal Government and obtained a promise that their demands would be met this month.
